The sky has lost it’s color
The sun has turned to grey
At least that’s how it feels to me
Whenever you’re away

I crawl up in the corner
As I watch the minutes pass
Each one brings me closer to
The time when i’ll be there

I can’t take the distance
I can’t take the miles
I can’t take the time
Until the next time I see you smile

And I’m not ashamed
That I can’t take a breath without saying your name
I can brave a hurricane
And still be standing tall when all the dust has settled down
But I can’t take the distance

I still believe in feelings
But sometimes I feel too much
I make believe you’re close to me
But it ain’t close enough
Not nearly close enough

Are we satisfied now?
that we lay down on bed easily
closing our eyes and our heart
from the other side of world
where mercy are being exchanged
for our convenience

If we can just stay awake for a while
we can hear it all
my friend…there’s another world
filled with the sound of war machines
moving with hate
and when they left… we can hear the cry
from enraged and saddened mother
losing their son…their hope

You said you were defending yourself,

Through your silver bullet of justice
you ask for the life of the innocent
and you refuse to take responsibility

You were too proud to admit your mistake
and we were too scared
to accept the truth that we carry the same sin
for letting our brother and sister kill each other

I don’t have the power to change the world
i only have ideals….and honestly
I’m as guilty as the rest of you
maybe the angel was right
we are nothing but harbinger of destruction
